Taking Care of Your Skin is an Ongoing Affair

When it comes to sunburn an ounce of prevention is definitely worth a pound of cure. There is a new SPF technology that’s make it very easy to shield your skin when you’re out in the sun. While this works really well there’s really no such thing as a ‘perfect’ solution.

Whenever your skin is exposed to too much sun, your skin is going to react differently than your friends and their friends. Everyone’s skin and metabolism are different. The fair-skinned people tend to get a lot of freckles, while slightly darker skinned people simply get darker. People who already have pretty dark skin may experience varying degrees of uneven pigmentation.

Why Tan at All?

The point is, tanning for short periods of time and just a few days a week is the best solution. Tanning can damage your skin. Even if you tan for just a little while and only a few days a week, you should treat your skin with creams and oils to help restore it and build it back up.

Dull Skin

It’s nice to go out in the Summertime looking like you have a nice copper tone to your skin. It’s also true that using a self-tanner and some makeup don’t always do the trick. The solution, as we are finding out more and more these days about everything, could be in what you eat. If you get plenty of Vitamin A and C and eat a lot of leafy greens high in natural estrogens, you could be getting beautiful skin from the inside out.

Frizzy Hair

If your hair is frizzy summers can be a bit intimidating. That hot humid air can really wreak havoc on the ole frizzies. You should try using a blow dryer that features a diffuser. They cause less heat damage. Then add in some specially formulated hair products designed just for frizzy hair that will keep that moisture from humid air off of your frizzes.

Acne, Pimples, Blemishes

Anyone can get a pimple at anytime. When you mix together heat, sweat, and oil it makes for a great pimple creator. Sadly, pimples are not limited to just your face. You can get them on your posterior, under the arms, even on the neck and shoulders. You need to always be taking care of your skin and using a good cleanser to keep the oil and sweat off.

Taking care of your skin requires constant time and attention. You have to take a proactive approach to keep yourself looking your best. Remember, darker is not always better or healthier, so make sure your skin is clean and healthy and enjoy your life!
